1899 needs three points
By: Matthias | March 13th, 2009After three consecutive draws and only one win since the start of the Rückrunde, 1899 coach Ralf Rangnick has stated from the top his side wants three points as they face Eintracht Frankfurt:
“Wir wollen diesmal nicht nicht nur gut spielen, sondern auch die drei Punkte holen”
(We want three points this time in addition to playing well)
However injuries are piling up because along with Chinedu Obasi, Vedad Ibišević and Sejad Salihović being out, Boubacar Sanogo is highly questionable leaving only Wellington and seventeen year-old Marco Terrazzino for striking duties. Tobias Weis, Selim Teber, Luiz Gustavo and Timo Hildebrand are all available although no decision on whether Timo Hildebrand or Daniel Haas will handle the goalkeeping duties.
Frankfurt is going through their own problems and because of a difficult injury run have seen their early season goals turn into a relegation battle. Only four points above the drop zone they will fight to no-end for points on Saturday and will have massive crowd support behind them.
