a six point match against Leverkusen

Week three of the Rückrunde has seen Leverkusen’s visit of Rhein-Neckar-Arena quickly become an pivotal six-point match. A victory by Ralf Rangnick’s side will sink the visitors a distant nine points behind them and maintain pressure on trailing Bayern München as they face the Berliners on Saturday.
After the disappointing draw in Borussia-Park last week, 1899 will have a number of returnees to the squad list. After being knocked out of his first Bundesliga match for the club Timo Hildebrand returns, along with Carlos Eduardo who from suspension and Edu Obasi. Obasi, who played the final thirty minutes against Borussia Mönchengladbach, is available although Ralf Rangnick has not decided whether he will be used in the starting lineup. In his pre-match press conference he also hinted that they could go with an all-out assault with Sejad Salihović, Edu Obasi, Marco Terrazzino, Wellington, Demba Ba and Boubacar Sanogo in the starting eleven, making for an attack heavy match.
Leverkusen is still searching for their first victory of the Rückrunde but now is the chance to pay them back with the early season 5-2 loss.
