By: Matthias | January 5th, 2009Training resumed for Bundesliga leaders 1899 Hoffenheim at Dietmar-Hopp-Stadioin with 1,200 energetic spectators urging their club on. With a week before his side mixes up in top class friendlies against VfL Bochum, Hamburger SV und FC Zürich, Ralf Rangnick is very pleased, noting in particular his clubs “fantastic enthusiasm.”
Specifically mentioning that there is much learning to be done and that the club will need to continue its learning process, he reaffirmed the desire to play attacking Football but also improve defending and set pieces. New additions to the squad during the transfer season are unlikely given their present position and will only be made if it is conditions are right and does not take away from team unity. With Timo Hildebrand, who has returned to the Bundesliga from Valencia, he is very confident that he will be in top condition in the next four weeks of training.
