Welcome to the fastest rising club in Germany
By: Matthias | December 10th, 2008Welcome to the home 1899 Hoffenheim, the fastest rising club in the Bundesliga! The meteoric rise of Hoffenheim up from the lower leagues to now first place in the Bundesliga is nothing short of miraculous and it is my pleasure to tell you of my club. With the winter break looming right ahead, we are preparing right now for die Königsblauen on Saturday and our move towards the Champions League.

And Timo Hilderbrand has been signed to your club, Matthias. What do you make of it?
Anyhow, hello and welcome! I myself have always been fascinated at Hoffenheim’s amazing rise to the top. Last Friday, I was actually secretly rooting for you guys to beat Bayern but, ouch.

Klaus – thank you. Do you have any idea why it shows you are in Bulgaria?
Diana – why thank you for cheering us on. I am just writing a report on it signing. I have to visit your blog.
Steven – hahaha, I know what you mean as we have many “new” fans but if it brings new supporters it is a good thing. But for the record this has always been “my club” and was very happy I could blog of it. Whether they are the top of the league or failed to the bottom, I stand by them.

Welcome to the blogging club, Matthias. This season should bring you a lot of traffic, as we all hope that Hoffenheim can shock the world and take the league, or at least get into Europe.

Matthias, actually I support VfB Stuttgart.
One of the clubs Ralf Rangnick used to coach!
By right your club should be one of our local rivals (after a certain Karlsruhe) given Stuttgart and Hoffenheim both located in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. But Hoffenheim’s journey into the big time still makes me feel that it is like a Cinderella story still being unfolding. But anyhow, I suppose it is the way how the club runs and all that which makes me admire you guys.
Actually I come from Singapore and with the Bundesliga on our TV here, my only wish is that they show more Hoffenheim matches (apart from my ‘team’, though I saw them more than twice already). I had only watched Hoffenheim twice, when they were playing Hamburg and the most recent away at Bayern. Other than that, it is only at the weekly highlights programme we get here.

j, I really hope Hoffenheim make it to the Champions League. At the rate they are going, it is possible. We had already seen three new debutants in this season’s Champions League and I hope to see Hoffenbeim being adding to that list in the near future.
Jackson, I did saw Oliver’s Frankfurt Offside page earlier on. Wow, I think we almost got the entire Bundesliga covered at the Offside!

Hey Matthias, welcome aboard. If Hoffenheim do stay at the top of the B’liga, their presence in the Champions League will be a breath of fresh air compared to Schalke and Bremen’s annual failures.
